Protection Management
Virtually all forms of protection fall into three categories: Security Management, Fire Protection Management and Emergency Management.
These three separate introductory courses examine and integrate theory and principles common to design and implementation of security systems; focus on the principles instrumental in providing safety from fire in the built environment; fire detecting and suppressing systems are discussed and human behavior in fires is explored; theory and practice of strategic and operational planning for emergency response are examined; preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery concepts are examined. Risk identification and communication, management, and coordination of resources, public and private, and public education are discussed.
