Interviewing Techniques
Today's economic environment has led to the termination of employment of millions of people. New York City has been hard hit by the national and local economic meltdown as hundreds and thousands of people attend job fairs in search of employment to ensure that they can continue to put food on the table and have a roof over their heads. This course prepares individuals seeking employment by providing them with the tools needed to distinguish themselves from others and find employment. Emphasis is placed on the concept that, "The resume gets you the interview and the interview gets you the job." Handouts and role playing are part of the class, as are discussions in the following areas:

- Appearance
- Presentation
- Documentation
- Cover Letters and Resumes
- Verbal Communication
- Body Language
- What the interviewer expects from the interviewee (and vise versa)
- How to Answer the Interviewer's Questions
- Review Illegal and/or Inappropriate Questions
- Ending the Interview
- Thank You Notes
